February is upon us, the season of love and not only is Valentine’s Day coming up but also mine and Lewis’ anniversary. What idiot asks someone to go out with them so close to Valentine’s Day, me, that’s who! However, I am a huge advocate of Valentine’s Day, not the cheesy gifts and over priced cards, but the opportunity to show the people you love just how much they mean. I’m all about that quality time, meals out, coffee dates or movie nights in. Anything to take time out of your day and just natter away to your nearest and dearest.
And while it’s usually me posing in front of the camera, BoohooMAN got in touch to see if I wanted to style up my man for date night. Although hesitant at first I managed to convince Lew to strut his stuff in front of the camera. To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets snapped up as a model after this, he’s got that ‘far off wonderment’ blogger look down! Plus did I make him buy me those flowers purely for the photos, yes, yes I did. winning.
So when it comes to dressing my man I love casual tailoring, smart and sleek but with an edge. So I went for a classic white shirt*, tailored camel coat* and ripped knee jeans*! I also picked out some tassel loafers* which were sadly far too big, so we swapped out for some suede Dr. Martens. I love this look, but I will now have to plan in advance so I don’t accidentally wear my camel coat at the same time. Matchy matchy is maybe a little too far.
We had a lovely Sunday morning coffee date (okay hot chocolate for me) this morning, my top tip is to let your phone battery run out so you’re not tempted to check Instagram! I’m super excited to head out for a meal on Thursday to celebrate 3 wonderful years with this one.
Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day and how would you style your fella for date night?
