I am one lucky lady, with amazing family and friends and I was treated to some really lovely birthday presents this year. But instead of showing you my new 500 piece jigsaw and copper lamp, I thought I’d just share some of the beauty bits I received. But rest assured I’ll be off to start my jigsaw as soon as I’ve finished writing this post…
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I’m a long time NARS lover, so when they announced a new foundation I was dying to get my hands on it. And it does not disappoint! It has incredible coverage and a smoothing effect that leaves skin looking airbrushed (trust me on this one). There’s a really good shade range and Mont Blanc suits me perfectly. The lasting power is as the name suggests and I’ve not worn anything else since unwrapping it!
NARS Soft Matte Concealer. Continuing on the NARS base theme, I also received their latest concealer offering. It’s unlike anything I’ve used before and has an almost whipped matte texture. It’s fab for smoothing over redness and blemishes, but a little drying for under the eyes.
NARS Mann Ray Highlighter. When I opened this parcel from Hope I honestly gasped. I’ve been drooling over this highlighter since it launched, I mean it’s just utterly dreamy. The perfect peachy champagne shade, with a very soft focus finish. Think lit from within glow rather than disco ball.
MAC Lipstick in Whirl. I’m not sure I’ve written a single post on this blog without mentioning Whirl Lip Pencil, so the lipstick version is a match made in heaven for me. It’s the perfect balance between pink and brown, giving the ultimate ‘my lips but better’ look.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Shadow in Melting Point. I mean look at this packaging, it’s a magpie’s dream! I’m not usually one for single shadows as they get lost in the abyss that is my makeup collection. That is unless it’s a copper shadow and this one is an absolute stunner. The formula is extremely creamy and has a really beautiful high shine finish.
Bobbi Brown Brush Set. I’m a bit dubious when it comes to limited edition brush sets after bad experiences with the MAC Christmas kits (they’re crap and nothing like their standard counterpart). However, it’s the opposite story for Bobbi Brown, these brushes are fantastic. Easily some of the best quality brushes I’ve ever tried, specifically the full coverage and powder brushes.
There we have it, enough new beauty products to last me a good while, she says that after recently doing a massive Glossier haul…
