When 2 of my favourite internet people posted french toast recipes on the same day, it’s no surprise what I cooked up for breakfast the next day!
And with my belly currently full, I’m showing you how I made it!
Now if you’ve read any other of my foodie posts then you’ll know they’re often quite vague, I can’t help it, I like to improvise when it comes to the kitchen! So if you’re after proper tried and tested recipes then I suggest heading over to What Olivia Did’s post or Aslan’s video, as these guys really know their stuff!
But here’s my ‘bit of this’ & ‘bit of that’ recipe!
You Will Need:
2 slices of bread
1 large egg
3 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of caster sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Now it couldn’t get much easier than french toast!
- So just stir together your egg, milk, sugar & cinnamon in a flat bottomed bowl.
- Throw your bread into the bowl to soak.
- Heat a frying pan with a knob of butter and fry the soaked bread until golden, then flip!
- Once cooked, serve on a plate with plenty of fresh berries and syrup!
Seriously delicious. I can see this becoming a daily thing, although my waistline might disagree…
