Beauty Food: Cous Cous

And I’m back with a Beauty Food, and its lunch time. Cous cous is one of the quickest, easiest and tastiest ingredients, so thats what I’m cooking up today.

Firstly I dry fried some pine nuts in a pan and put them to the side for later. Then with hot oil in a pan I fried up some broccoli and green pepper (although my fav is yellow pepper) after about 4 mins I added some homegrown tomatoes. Its should start to turn a little saucy… then I added a teaspoon of tomato puree and Harissa paste. The Harissa paste adds loads of flavour and some spice, so add cautiously!

Meanwhile cook your cous cous per the packet instructions. And mix your saucy veg into the cous cous and finish with a sprinkling of pine nuts.

Viola, lunch is served.

    haha, it was yummy!! I never used to like it either, but its just so quick and easy and yummy with the veg! xx

    This looks SO delicious! I often whip up a big bowl of couscous on a Sunday even so I can take servings with me to uni at the beginning of the week. I'm always looking for new variations so will definitely be trying this! The ingredients are at the top of my shopping list :)
