Another little feature to add to the blog today and its a foodie one. I love food, Its just so darn tasty, so I thought why not post about food occasionally, its my blog after all.
I wanted to post about super tasty things (so mainly cake based food of course) but hopefully they will have a slightly healthy element. So to kick things off I made a batch of banana bread, that counts as one of your 5 a day right?
I used the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook recipe to make these, however instead of 280g of plain flour I used 180g and made up the rest with rolled oats as they are healthy and I thought I’d give it a whirl. This really is a great recipe, complete with ginger and cinnamon.
I’ve made this recipe so much, that the book automatically opens on that page, probably due to the amount of crumbs stuck in-between the pages. So a yummy, marginally healthy way to use up old bananas, now excuse me while I finish off the loaf…
