1 Resolution for 2018

gold flowersAs much as everyone hates the cliche of ‘New Year, New Me’, I genuinely believe that a fresh year is the prefect opportunity to make some changes and do the things you’ve always wanted to do. A time to wipe the slate clean.

However, I think it’s very easy to over do the resolutions, have a list as long as your arm depicting every last goal you must achieve in the next 12 months. And when the year is over you feel like crap for not managing to do them all. So this year I’m only setting myself one challenge. To make myself proud.

If at the end of the year I can look back and give myself a well deserved pat on the back I’ll be happy. Of course I have a variety of challenges or things I’d like to do, but if I’m proud of the effort I’ve given them then resolution done.

Some of the things I want to do include getting back on top of blogging (this counts!), upping my fitness (full post on this coming soon), get a degree and finish learning to drive. So there’s plenty to keep me busy!

I am both extremely excited and terrified for what this year might bring. The first half will be spent finishing my degree and enjoying the last of student life, but the second half? Who knows what is to come once I’ve graduated. And although this absolutely terrifies me, facing the unknown and ‘riding the wave’ is another thing I can be proud of.

I think this is the perfect resolution and I might have to steal it as one of my own! I do believe a new year brings new opportunities for changing yourself so I’ve decided to focus on me, my health, my happiness just everything I can sometimes ignore. I just want to wake up feeling fulfilled and wanting to get up and go!

Love this Lucy! Making yourself proud is most definitely the most important thing – and sounds like you’ve got a lot of exciting things coming up this year! Good Luck with graduating (it feels epic ngl! Missing York loads now though!) and your driving and can’t wait to read more of you blog this year!
